Individual Therapy
Ali provides weekly or biweekly individual mental health counseling specializing in high anxiety and confidence blocks. Clients participate in counseling with a desire to resolve issues preventing them from experiencing fulfillment in life. Many clients come to Ali out of a desire to resolve or recover from:

loss of confidence after a difficult or abusive relationship

Ali has advanced post-graduate training in several compassionate and effective treatment modalities that go beyond traditional talk-therapy. These include:
Transactional Analysis: A framework of personality that provides clients with a deeper understanding of their relationship with themselves and others. Clients will have the opportunity to reparent their own “inner-child” in ways that they weren’t parented. This paves the way for trauma healing and growth. Transactional Analysis is the original modality that incorporated parts work or parts psychology and the concept of the inner child into traditional therapy. This work is essential to building confidence and feeling safe and connected to oneself.
Redecision Therapy: Ali is a certified Redecision Therapist. Redecision therapy is a method that gives clients the ability to quickly identify and resolve unconscious trauma that is currently interfering with their feeling peace and calm. Clients will be given the opportunity to update and resolve old childhood wounds and issues. This method is an Experiential Psychology technique that combines Parts Work, Transactional Analysis, Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral and Gestalt therapy all into one powerful experience. This method can facilitate transformative positive change for the client in as little as one session.
Trauma Resolution Energy Therapy (TRET): Ali is certified in TRET. The phrase “the body keeps score” rings true when we think about how trauma is stored in the body. This is true for traumatic events and traumatic patterns experienced over the course of time. TRET is a form of energy psychology and a somatic method aimed at clearing distress and energy blocks resulting from trauma from the body.
Somatic Therapy: Ali takes therapy deeper by helping clients use their body awareness, breathwork and movement exercises to be more aware of bodily sensations and release stored emotions.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy: Anxiety and panic is often described as leaving one’s own body. Mindfulness-based therapies can help clients learn to become present with themselves and calm anxiety.
Personality-Focused Treatment: Ali is a certified Personality-Focused therapist. Psychotherapy tailored to fit the personality of the individual is always more effective. Take the Joines- Personality Adaptation Questionnaire or JPAQ (personality test) and Ali will help you learn about your unique combination of the six personality adaptations.
Gestalt Therapy: Change occurs on an emotional level. Gestalt therapy or “chair work” is an experiential method that enables clients to tap into their emotions on a deeper level. This provides clients with much more information than simply thinking about the problem would.
Internal Family Systems Therapy: We are not a monolith and parts of us can feel differently about the same issue or experience. IFS therapy can help us sort through our “parts” so that we can heal exiled parts of ourselves and get back to our core selves and living authentically.
Emotional Freedom Technique: Essentially, EFT is acupuncture without the needles. Tap on specific pressure-points on the face to relieve distressing emotions in the moment. This method is incredibly helpful for trauma survivors and individuals with anxiety.
Couples Therapy
Couples therapy is an important investment in your most meaningful relationship. Ali provides weekly therapy for couples who are stuck and are wanting more from their relationship. Couples therapy is designed to help you uncover the ways in which you may be blocking yourself (outside of your awareness) from experiencing the connection and emotional intimacy you want. You will have the opportunity to turn things around, stop hurting one another and enter into a joy-filled and supportive relationship.
Ali has training from the Couples Institute using The Bader-Pearson Developmental Couples Counseling Model. She also utilizes techniques learned from her extensive training at the Southeast Institute for Group and Family Therapy.
