Lets find a time that works for you
What to know before scheduling
Check your email after sending a request
Please request an appointment here. After you request an appointment you will receive an email from my secure client platform SimplePractice notifying you I’ve received your request. Once confirmed you will receive a link via email to fill out the initial paperwork electronically prior to session. Please have this filled out 24 hours prior to session so I have time to go over it. Not seeing a time that works for you? Email me at aliross@alirosscounseling.com or call me at (734) 436-3349 and we can see if we can find time that works for you.
Client type
I see individuals, couples and families for counseling sessions.
Location
I see clients in-person in my office in downtown Ann Arbor, MI or virtually. The office address is 202 E Washington Street Suite 200. It is located across the street from Literati bookstore and above Toastique (the gourmet toast and smoothie shop). Most clients park in the 4th and Washington Structure. This location is walkable from University of Michigan’s Central Campus. Find directions here
Session frequency, fees and insurance
I intentionally keep my client list small so I can devote my full emotional energy, attention, and expertise to each session. I structure my practice to ensure that I am avoiding burn-out and offering clients my full self. This means you get highly personalized care, crafted around your unique needs, goals, and pace. Rest-assured you’ve chosen a provider who prioritizes continual advanced post-graduate education and training opportunities to offer you the best treatment. I hold certifications in several compassionate and effective counseling methods.
My fee for therapy and coaching is $170 per 60-minute individual session and $255 per 90-minute couples session. Many clients move to every other week sessions after a few months. Some clients stay weekly depending on their needs.
I do not bill insurance companies directly. I can provide a receipt for you to seek reimbursement from your insurance company for individual sessions only. Couples therapy is not a covered insurance benefit. If you do choose to involve your insurance company for my services, you will want to check if you can get out-of-network reimbursement for your sessions. Many clients can get reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits or by using an FSA or HSA account (this does require a diagnosis). It is the clients responsibility to check their plan allowances prior to session. All new clients not using insurance will receive a Good Faith Estimate. **Please note that couples therapy is not a covered insurance or HSA/FSA benefit.
